really began to take off once the 78 rpm format
was taken over by the new 33 rpm LP and the 45 rpm single and EP. The
first LPs were 10", however this soon changed to the very popular
12" which gave a lot of space for artwork that would attract listeners
and the 7" EP covers also provided a good platform for some stunning
Pacific images.
